Please note: Minocycline standard release formulations are in short supply but MR (modified release) is available. There are issues with toxicity when giving minocycline at higher doses and for longer periods but for short term use in drug-resistant M. genitalium, Minocycline MR 100mg bd for 14 days should be adequate. Reducing to 100mg od could be considered if the patient is experiencing symptoms of toxicity (vestibular and GI). It is hoped that standard formulation will be back in stock soon.
