Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Mycoplasma genitalium

Data on trends in antimicrobial resistance and decreased susceptibility in gonococcal infection in England and Wales are provided by the Gonococcal Resistance to Antimicrobials Surveillance Programme (GRASP). GRASP reports are published annually and a GRASP protocol is available.

Possible cases of gonorrhoea ceftriaxone treatment failure should be reported to the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) via the HIV and STI Data Exchange

Surveillance of antimicrobial resistance in Mycoplasma genitalium in England is conducted through the M. genitalium Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance (MARS) Programme. MARS reports are published annually. 

Possible cases of Mgen treatment failure with third-line treatments should be reported to the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) via the HIV and STI Data Exchange
