- Understanding how overlapping identities—such as race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality—shape patient experiences, barriers to access, and clinical outcomes in sexual health and HIV.
Microaggressions and Bias
- Identifying implicit biases and microaggressions in clinical settings, their impact on patient trust and engagement, and strategies for compassionate, bias-aware communication.
Inclusion and Exclusion in Research and Workforce Experience
- Examining historical and ongoing disparities in medical research representation and discussing how clinicians can advocate for inclusive evidence-based practice, and exploring representation, and institutional support needed for racially and ethnically minoritised healthcare staff working in sexual health and HIV services.
