New BASHH Board and Clinical Governance Committee members announced

Professor Matt Phillips has written to BASHH members this afternoon with the following message:

I am delighted to introduce the new members for the BASHH Board and Clinical Governance Committee (CGC) for 2026. Following the process of nominations, all positions below have been filled uncontested.

Most particularly, it is a great pleasure to name our President-elect; I am sure you will all join me in congratulating Dr Cara Saxon in her successful nomination.

Thank you so much, I am truly honoured and privileged to be elected as the next President of BASHH. I am incredibly excited to begin my work in this role and continue supporting our fantastic specialty. #LoveGUM

We are in a time of significant change and challenge but with that comes some significant opportunities for improving the standards and provision of Genitourinary Medicine across the four nations, and I can think of no better person to hand the baton on to than Cara.
