The fellowships are open to applicants in ST2 and above who have the support of their training programme director and written approval for study leave from their consultant.

The fellowships are open to applicants in ST2 and above who have the support of their training programme director and written approval for study leave from their consultant. They provide opportunities for clinicians to develop interests in epidemiology or public health for part of their higher specialist training through an attachment with PHE, usually for a day per week over a year. The Fellow is expected to undertake a project with support from a PHE mentor that is of interest to the Fellow; relates to some aspect of genitourinary medicine, and is of use and value to public health in general.
