Consultation on the revised Advanced Clinical Practitioner HIV/Integrated Sexual Health curriculum

The revised version of the curriculum framework for advanced clinical practitioners in HIV and Integrated Sexual Health is out for consultation.

The curriculum was launched in 2019 and was a joint project between BASHH, FSRH and NHIVNA. It was revised in 2021 when it received Royal College of Nursing and BHIVA endorsement.

The current revisions are to meet Health Education England’s Centre for Advancing Practice new standardised process for all existing and new curriculum frameworks. The revisions also enabling the incorporation of the changes to the specialty curricula for HIV/GUM and SRH.

By meeting Centre for Advancing Practice new process will mean that advanced practitioners who are able to demonstrate that they meet the requirements of the curriculum (through completion of centre endorsed HIV/ISH pathway specific master’s programme, or through e-portfolio) with gain national recognition as an advanced practitioner and credentialed within our specialty.
