Centenary of the Venereal Disease Act 1917

BASHH Reception Event at the House of Lords

6th June 2017

Location:

Houses of Parliament, Parliament Square, Westminster, London SW1A 0PW

BASHH is organising a high-profile event in Parliament to commemorate the centenary of the VD Act 1917, marking 100 years of high quality sexual health services across the UK.

The event will run directly after the Scientific Meeting on 6th June 2017 from 1830 to 2100hrs.

We are honoured to be hosted through Baroness Gould of Potternewton, our sponsor. Individuals and organisations will be invited from sexual health and HIV services, advocacy and charity groups, plus Parliamentarians active in this area. We will hear short contributions from distinguished speakers then enjoy a networking event in the stunning setting of the Terrace of the House of Lords. BASHH has always aimed to support and to celebrate the contributions of our members. Our President is keen for every member to have an opportunity to attend. Numbers at the event are quite limited.

We are offering sponsored places open to all members which will give free attendance. If the event is over-subscribed then a ballot for places will be held.

Deadline for applications is 12 midnight on the 28th February.

Please note, places are not transferable for security reasons.
Travel and other expenses are the responsibility of the individual.

If you are interested in attending, please email me via BASHH secretariat admin@bashh.org with subject line CENTENARY including your name and contact email.

Immediate Past President
