ASIG Safeguarding Education Event 

The day aims to provide training and stimulate discussion around safeguarding survivors and protecting children & young people into adulthood who disclose experiencing abuse. The content of this event is applicable to doctors, nurses, health advisors, psychologists, and other professionals working with young people including those in safeguarding lead roles. The event will provide relevant and interactive talks & workshops delivered by experts in the field.

Course Objectives:

  • Safeguarding Children & Adult Survivors of abuse in a sexual health setting
  • Assess and clinically manage children with STIs
  • Identify the clinical Indicators of sexual abuse in children
  • Comprehend the effect of domestic abuse on children
  • Demonstrate our safeguarding responsibilities towards adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse
