BSSVD 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting

17th - 18th May 2018
Location:
Salisbury Guildhall, The Market Place, Salisbury, SP1 1JH‘InSPIREing collaboration in vulval health’
The Salisbury Organising Committee are excited to bring you the 2018 scientific meeting, on behalf of the BSSVD.
We welcome all Health care professionals with an interest in vulval health to join us for two days of learning, debate, thought-provoking discussion and sharing of ideas to further the field of vulval health.
The meeting will bring together primary and secondary care by including an along-side “core” teaching day (Thursday 17th May), to cover the wide range of vulval disorders. This series of lectures and debates will be open to all delegates and may be of particular interest to GPs, trainees and nurses. Topics are likely to include updates in Lichen Sclerosus, Lichen Planus, Inflammatory disorders, vulval cancer, VIN and vulval pain.
Introducing: Naomi Crouch MD MRCOG, Consultant Gynaecologist & Specialist in Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology. As seen on BBC 2’s Victoria Derbyshire Programme discussing ‘Labioplasty.’
The Salisbury Organising Committee are also proud to present a morning session on ‘Intraepithelial Neoplasia’, with patient input as well as debate and teaching from AIN and VIN specialists and HPV updates.
Other topics (tbc); vulval plastic reconstruction, Pagets disease, childhood Lichen Sclerosus, vulval specialist nursing, psychosexual counselling in vulval disease.
Known as ‘the city in the countryside’, Salisbury is surrounded by a landscape so quintessentially English it’s almost too good to be true.
If you pause on the edge of the water-meadows to take in the awesome sight of the Cathedral rising up from these lush green fields, it’s easy to understand why Salisbury was named as one of the world's Top 10 Cities to visit in 2015 by Lonely Planet.
The cathedral boasts the tallest spire in Britain and within the Chapter House at Salisbury Cathedral you’ll find the best preserved of the four original Magna Carta manuscripts dating from 1215AD. The World Heritage Site of Stonehenge is just eight miles north of Salisbury. Outstanding exhibition galleries at the Stonehenge visitor centre explain the stone circle’s historic context and are well worth visiting.
