Mr Neil Jenkinson
Neil currently runs his own successful management consultancy company NRJ Solutions Limited; that has developed a national reputation for redesigning and transforming a number of public and private sector services. He has worked in the NHS, Health Education, Local Authority and private sector for over 25 years in a number of Director, General Management and Project Management roles. He originally trained as an Industrial Engineer at British Oxygen Corporation (BOC) and is a LEAN Practitioner. Neil completed an MSc in Health and Social Care Commissioning at the University of Birmingham in 2013. His interests are in shared leadership, integration, organisational culture & development and in improving the value of services through improved quality and reduced costs.
Specifically, in relation to the lay representative role at BASHH, Neil was the Network Director for Sexual Health Services in Greater Manchester for over 10 years. This was nationally recognised and the UK’s first fully integrated Sexual Health Network across a population of two million bringing together 25 organisations including commissioners, providers and third sector partners. This collaborative engagement model resulted in a significant transformation of sexual health services across Greater Manchester.
He is looking forward not only too be a “critical friend” but to bring expertise to complement the professional skills the Board enjoys.
