Mr Jodie Walker-Haywood

Nurse representative

Jodie qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 2007. After a year working on the Infectious diseases Ward at Worcestershire Royal Hospital he joined Whittall Street Clinic, Birmingham as a Sexual Health Adviser.
Since then Jodie has held several positions within Sexual health including Senior Charge Nurse, Nurse Coordinator for Service Improvement and more recently Clinical Educator - Team Manager.
Jodie practices as an Integrated Nurse holding an Independent prescriber qualification and both the STIF Intermediate and NDFSRH.

Since joining BASHH in 2012 Jodie has been the nurse representative on the MSM Special Interest Group (2013-15), the Clinical Governance Committee (2015-17) and regional nurse rep for the West Midlands (2014 - 2016).

During his time on MSM SIG he hosted the successful first bi-annual educational day in Birmingham 2013 and again in 2015.

Jodie has been awarded the BASHH National spring meeting in 2019 and he is very proud to say, the first to be hosted by a nurse.
