Dr Shalini Andrews

Dr Shalini Andrews is a consultant in Sexual Health & HIV in Surrey. She qualified in Medicine from Vellore, India and following general medicine training in Lincolnshire, undertook speciality training in Genitourinary and HIV Medicine at St George’s Hospital, London.
She has been a consultant in Surrey since 2011, and during this time led the services through three changes of providers and significant reconfiguration. She completed the diploma in Medical Leadership with the RCP and Birkbeck University of which has equipped her with skills in managing change in both commissioning and provision of sexual health.
She is currently the HIV lead and is particularly interested in community engagement to tackle stigma around HIV. She has a special interest in sexual dysfunction. She is a member of the BASHH sexual dysfunction special interest group and secretary of the British Society of Sexual Medicine. She is a member of the exam committee of the MJCSM, which sets the European standards in training and qualification in Sexual Medicine.Back to the list of BASHH Board Members
