The aims of the group are:
- Promote the public image of BASHH thereby enhancing its influence on health policy
- Assist the media with accurate factual information on Sexual Health, STI & HIV
- React to enquiries on news stories of local or national interest concerning Sexual Health
- Produce campaigns supportive of BASHH objectives and assist others with similar aims
