Dr Jyoti Dhar is Consultant Physician and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University Hospitals of Leicester, Leicester.UK . After graduating from Kashmir, India she trained in internal medicine and genitourinary medicine, completing her postgraduate training in Liverpool, before taking up her consultant post in 1993.
She is Head of Specialist Training, East Midland Deanery and Training Programme Director for GUM in Leicester. She currently leads the Undergraduate Education GU/HIV Curriculum Task Group and sits on the mentoring committee for BASHH. She chairs the Trent Regional Audit Group and was Chairman of the National STI Foundation Course, 2005-2009.
Her main areas of clinical and research interest are medical education and infections in women, especially HIV and vulval diseases.
