Mike has been involved with the NHS for 12 years. He is currently an NED with NHS London and was the Strategic Health Authorities chairs from August to December 2008. Previous positions include NED roles on South West London SHA and a Community Trust. He represents London on the NHS Confederation Council, is on the Board of the London Health Observatory and is Chair of the London Mental Health & Employment Partnership.
For the past 16 years he has run Michael Bell Associates a management consultancy and social research company operating from offices in London and Edinburgh. His company works across the public sector providing practice based solutions to tackle social exclusion. His company works extensively on sexual health issues and has undertaken a wide range of projects for NHS bodies, local government and others such as the Mayor of London.
Prior to this he was Chief Executive of the national charity, AdviceUK.
