Qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Hospital in 1991 before commencing Specialist Registrar training in Genito-Urinary Medicine in the Wessex region. Appointed as a Consultant in 2001, and has been working at the Southampton University Hospitals since 2004. Her major research interests include genital infections in pregnancy, GUM access/service provision, and she has a keen interest in postgraduate medical education. Secretary of the Wessex Regional BASHH Group (2002-2006), she was appointed BASHH STI/HIV Course Director (2007-), and established the Dip Gum OSCE revision course. She is a member of the executive steering group for the implementation of e-learning in GU Medicine, and a member of BCCG (2003-).
