The 2005 BASHH Spring Meeting was a joint meeting with BHIVA (British HIV Association) in Dublin. Professor Fiona Mulcahy was the local host and organiser. The conference was held at the Burlington Hotel, which also combined as the main conference hotel. The three-day conference consisted of plenary talks and oral presentations together with poster presentations, and covered a wide range of topics in the field of sexual health, genitourinary medicine and HIV medicine for interested doctors, nurses, health advisers and allied health care professionals. There was also a commercial exhibition of pharmaceutical, technical and diagnostic products.
The lively social programme included a welcome reception, a buffet dinner at the Guinness Storehouse, and the gala dinner at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.
