BLACKPOOL SPRING MEETING 2 - 4 MAY 2007
The 2007 BASHH Spring Meeting was held in Blackpool with Dr John Sweeney and Dr Wafaa Wasef as our local hosts and organisers. The conference venue was the Winter Gardens. The conference was well attended and had plenary talks on a number of topics, HIV guideline review, a debate on access to HIV treatment and a medico-legal and ethical session based on cases with a panel discussion. There were 23 oral presentations and 146 poster presentations covering a wide range of topics in the field of sexual health, genitourinary medicine and HIV medicine. In addition, on Wednesday 2 May the Adolescent Special Interest Group held a parallel programme on child protection issues.
