Email Patti.green@blithesystems.com "Lilie" is the relaunched DDMS product in the usual SQL server /W2000 platform.  Blithe were also looking after the few GUSS systems.  Andy Winter has had sight of the full specification and one notable feature is the seamless integration of scanned images etc into the record.  He understands that it is going live in two small sites in the next month and he will seek feedback from them for information.

Update - 'this system was demonstrated at the Leeds MSSVD and I understand has just been rolled out in Leeds GUM service (its first large clinic installation).
Update from Lilie - 'has now been ordered by 40 GUM departments, 16 of which are now live. The sites include transfers from several other GUM suppliers and solutions.  There is proven data transfer capability from DDMS, GUSS and TeleCare systems – a data transfer from another solution is in the process of QA.  Reference sites include:  Morecambe/Kendal/Barrow/Lancaster (all on a single server, no previous computer system), Burton upon Trent, Leeds, Derby, Swindon (All from DDMS) and St Helens (from GUSS).  Blithe currently supports over 100 departments of sexual health using DDMS, GUSS or Lilie products.
Update - Patti Green, Lilie. Lilie has now been selected as the preferred solution by 46 Trusts within the last eighteen months. The product eases the transition towards an Electronic Patient Record for sexual health, incorporating fully integrated document and image management and facilities to manage GU, HIV and Family Planning information.
New modules due for release Q104 includes fully configurable data subsets for clinical tests, revised HIV datasets and enhanced Health Adviser functions that include contact tracing, result monitoring and activity management. The new laboratory test function is designed to facilitate laboratory data take on for those sites moving towards a fully electronic record.
Lilie provides a portfolio of standard activity, clinical and business reports that provide comprehensive management information and analyses for commissioning organisations without recourse to query tools. All reports provide filters for scoping results and enable export of data to alternative tools. The standard SQL database enables analysis using other tools such as Crystal Reports, Business Objects or SQL if preferred.

As of the 5th July 2004, Blithe bought out FMI, the makers of Clinic Pro
Clinic Pro 2.0 is a
SQL server EPR based system
GUM User - Paul Lister @ Roehampton and shortly also Andy Winter @ Glasgow

Update from Andy Winter: Clinic Pro 2 went live in Glasgow on 1 April and after some initial rewrites we seem to have a reasonably stable, flexible and powerful system. We are still awaiting final revisions to the software's services modules. I would like to facilitate discussion between new users of Clinic Pro 2. It will be helpful to share tips (perhaps between IT support at various sites) and also make sure that problems that affect several sites are dealt with appropriately by FMI and not blamed on the particular installation. We are also well into developing electronic records on the system and have implemented electronic results grabbing etc. I am happy to talk to prospective Clinic Pro 2 users for advice on procurement.

Telecare Mill Systems have recently set up a company to support and supply TeleCare systems. The company has been formed by members of the original development team to give TeleCare a new start, and to help the existing TeleCare users to get the best out of their software.
TeleCare was written by Clinical Data Systems;  Clinical Data Systems was bought by ACT Medisys; ACT Medisys was bought by iSOFT plc; iSOFT has assisted in the formation of the new company and has subcontracted Mill Systems to support its TeleCare customers.
If you would like any more information please don't hesitate to contact Marianne Elliott @ TeleCare Customer Support Tel: 01773 824400

or - David White @ Birmingham Heartlands Hospital

Update - Sam Morrison of Mill Systems: TeleCare is a Windows-based, flexible information system developed to meet business and clinical requirements for NHS and other clinics.  TeleCare is currently running on 40 sites throughout the UK (including St Mary's London, Kings College London, Royal Liverpool University Hospital & Newcastle General).  TeleCare GUM allows the management and recording of episodes of care for patients receiving treatment for STIs.  Based around a diary, the appointments and clinics can be configured to meet the most exacting requirements.
Configurable screens and an NHS-compliant data set ensure that all necessary data can be recorded, and a number of tools are available to allow extraction of data for the production of statutory and ad-hoc reports. The software has an in-built recall facility and has support for Samples and Investigations and can be directly linked to a Laboratory system for automatic results reporting.  Graphing of results is available, as is integrated imaging.  The system is compliant with the new Chlamydia screening requirements and now has enhanced support for Health Advisors with a revised contact tracing module updated for the 21st century.  The system features stock and prescribing modules to control the issue of medications. It also allows the creation and monitoring of treatment regimes.

Unfortunately, for those thinking of upgrading their GUM computer software, "live" experience with these systems is scarce.  Should colleagues currently using any of these systems be prepared to discuss the pros/cons of their product with other interested colleagues, I would be grateful if you would make yourself known to the Webmaster.
