Meetings, Courses and Memberships Doctors in Training Weekend

The annual Doctors in Training weekend on 24th and 25th September was held, for the third consecutive year, at the Warwick University campus in Coventry.  Forty-five SpRs from around the UK attended for a variety of talks - from Beng Goh's "Spotty Dicks and Itchy bits" presentation to the beautiful Michael Brady giving us the low down on how to get through the consultant interview.
Kazim Aderogba from King's won the SpR case presentation.
The Friday night was a huge success - the quiz went particularly well, though whether anyone will see Simon Barton in the same light again remains to be seen, and the cheesy disco created a fantastic bonding session for us all (especially Lewis Haddow).  Overall a fantastic time was had by all and we'd like to thank James Glavin, Sris Allan, Penny Goold and Laura Waters for all their hard work.

HIV Trainees Club
This is an excellent organisation for any trainee that is involved in the management of HIV patients ie GUM and Infectious Diseases. Membership is free with application forms available from the HIV Trainees Club Secretariat: Email secretariat@hivtc.org.uk
